Automotive Lift Services Ltd GDPR Policy
We take data protection seriously at Automotive Lift Services LTD. We will ensure that any data stored by us is only used for the purpose it was given, for example processing an order and invoicing. We will only use the information you give to us for the purposes or processing your request/order, to communicate with you on matters relating to your enquiry/order or to contact you regarding an up coming service or repair. We will not use this information for marketing purposes and will not share your information with third parties apart from those required to fulfill your order.
How your details are stored
Once you have placed an order with us either over the internet or by phone your details will stored on our password protected accounting package for invoicing purposes and for future purchases you may make. The data we will store will be your Name/Company Name, Address, Telephone Number and in some cases email and VAT Number (if an EC Sale).
In line with PCIDSS Compliance we do not record or store any customer credit card details.
We will not ask for any other personal details other than those necessary to provide the service required by the customer.
If you are a supplier or hold an account with us we will store your Accounts Department information on our password protected accounts package. Where a credit account is held with us we will also hold copies of customer account application forms, these will be stored securely and kept confidential.
How we use your data
We wont use your information for marketing purposes and will only send you product information that is requested. We will only use your email address to send copies of invoices, statements and to respond to enquiries. We may call you or email you to notify you of any issues with your order or advise that a service, calibration or invoice payment is due, we will only ever call you regarding your order or matters that are relevant to the daily running of your workshop.
Your address details will only be used for the supply or collection of goods and to send copies of invoices or statements.
No credit card details are recorded and we are fully PCIDSS Compliant.
We will only use your information stored for ordering purposes, enquiries and remittance advice. Any bank account details are held with our bank and will only be used for payment of invoices.
Who we share your data with
We will never share your data with other companies for their own use.
We will only ever share your details with our approved suppliers, soley to arrange the supply, delivery or collection of the parts you have purchased. This will only involve supplying your address and telephone number (for delivery purposes). They will only use this date to process your order.
How long will we store your data?
Your data will be stored electronically (or archived) by us unless you request otherwise. This is to assist with any future orders and warranties.

You can request to see or amend the data we hold at any time.
‘The right to be forgotten’ You can request at anytime for your contact details to be removed from our system.

Cookies are only used on our website to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to keep track of the products you have viewed to enable us to tailor our website based on your browsing behavior and generally enhance your user experience. Cookies used on our website will only capture anonymous data.

Next day delivery is offered Monday to Thursday (if ordered by 3pm at the latest) this cannot be guaranteed, however we will always do our best to get the parts out that day. If parts are purchased after 3pm they will be dispatched following day. If the dispatch day is a Friday parts will arrive on the Monday. If a Saturday or Timed Delivery is required please contact us for details as this incurrs an extra charge. Goods will not be dispatched until payment is received in full. Please be aware that Highlands of Scotland and Northern Ireland may incur an extra courier charge if over a certain weight, and we cannot always guarantee a next day service. Please also understand that delays may occur over the Christmas period as our stores close from Christmas Eve until the New Year.
Please inspect goods on delivery and notify us within 48hrs of receipt of goods.
If for any reason the goods are found to be defective, they can be returned within 30 days for an exchange or a refund. The liability with regards to faulty or defective parts is limited to the replacement of the faulty parts. Any credit will only be issued on receipt of returned goods. If goods are damaged in transit by the courier, please refuse delivery as taking receipt of such goods will invalidate any claim for damage.
If the customer orders parts incorrectly or no longer requires the parts received we will happily accept returns within 7 days of purchase providing they are returned in an unused, undamaged condition and still in the original packaging (if applicable). If we are not notified within 7 days of delivery of any problems, the goods will be deemed to be satisfactory. The customer must return the goods with reasonable care to see that they are received by the supplier and not damaged in transit.
We only refund the cost of return postage if the item is found to be faulty, or if we are at fault for sending incorrect parts. Returns will not not be accepted on special order parts.
If the parts are returned through no fault of Automotive Lift Services or the parts supplied, we will issue a credit less our orginal postage costs and a 20% restocking charge.

The supply of parts is made with the exception that they will be fitted only by a competant engineer and maintained regularly, we accept no liability whatsoever for any personal injury or damage to equipment as the result of fitting the part(s) supplied.We accept no liabilty for any losses whatsoever incurred by our customers as result of the parts purchased or as a result of delayed delivery.
In the event of parts being installed by our engineer. all parts remain the the property of Automotive Lift Services until payment is received in full.
Price given at time of enquiry will be honoured for 48hrs. Although we try our best to keep our prices competitive we cannot guarantee that the price will remain the same beyond the 48hrs stated. We reserve the right to make changes to the website and/or terms and conditions at any time.
Any quote supplied for installations do not include electrical or building works unless otherwise stated on the quotation.
